Saturday, November 29 brought cold and snow to Vancouver producing true cross-country conditions for this Championship event.
Long spikes were needed to maneuver Jericho Beach Park's muddy and slippery course.
The Junior Women's Go360 Racing team comprising of Mackenzie Cameron, Emily Wesseling, Sarah Wismer, and Rachyl MacPhail battled Canada's other top athletes to win the Junior Women's National Team prize.
Final individual rankings and times of the Go360 Racing team were as follows: Sarah Wismer - 12th at 23:29, Mackenzie Cameron - 17th at 24:05, Rachyl MacPhail - 28th at 24:58, and Emily Wesseling - 29th at 24:59. The combined times of these four athletes were enough to secure the National team title in this Junior Women's 6km Championship race.
Athletes race as both individuals and as a team. Team rankings are calculated for those athletes participating as a team with the results for athletes running only as individuals removed. Team rankings are calculated by combining the four individual results total sum and the lowest combined total score wins. Speed River TF's Go360 Racing junior women came out on top.
Go360 Racing's Taylor Milne finished 15th among 70 participants with a time of 33:11 over the 10km course. Taylor, after the event, announced his retirement from cross-country running to focus his time on the track and the 2016 Brazil Olympics. AGSI is supporting him all the way to Rio!
AGSI is proud to support these hard working, young athletes with many more races ahead of them.
Congratulations to the whole Go360 Racing team!
